MachinaTrader supports 2 different types of Strategy scripts. While for strategy-users it does not matter if it is a simple or trading strategy, the differences for strategy authors are substantial.
Simple Strategy (S)
A simple strategy will generate a Buy, Sell or Hold signal and return it to the engine, where it is executed via the parameters that are set in the Machina Configuration.
Trading Strategy (T)
A trading strategy is capable of managing orders directly, hence allows much more control and gives more possibilities to the strategy author.
Also, Script Authors are able to override, lock or allow Machina Configuration settings.
Trading Strategies (T) can be much more complex and granular than Simple Strategies (S).
