The first and only Swiss Crypto Finance certification, “Crypto Finance Expert” course, is set to run 100% online.

The first SAQ-approved Crypto Finance training course in Switzerland, “Certified Crypto Finance Expert”, was successfully launched in March 2020. With 20 participants from renowned national and international financial institutions such as Credit Suisse, Swissquote and Deutsche Bank, the maiden course was fully booked.

The participants were taught by proven experts about the emerging world of crypto banking, blockchain, tokenization and crypto assets in a portfolio context. Adrian Schatzmann, Strategic Advisor to the Swiss Bankers Association, impressively demonstrated the opportunities and risks of crypto-banking in Switzerland. Tina Balzli, partner at PwC Legal Switzerland, explained the legal requirements for crypto-banking, and Désirée Müller, CEO of Crypto Consulting AG, showed how crypto assets must be viewed in a holistic portfolio context. These are just three highlights from the intensive 3-day training program.

Now available online

The offer is now supplemented by an online course. The programme remains the same, with adjustments in the learning methodology made. Additionally, Julian Liniger, co-initiator of the CCFE “The new” was also part of the course.

The online module can also include participants for whom face-to-face training in Zurich and Zug is too cumbersome. This format is particularly popular in times of corona, home office and distance working. The benefit is great: The participants receive the whole package including SAQ recertification and CCFE diploma at a lower price than the physical implementation”.

Rino Borini, also a co-initiator of the CCFE and university lecturer, adds:

“With the CCFE, we are offering a unique further education in crypto-banking throughout Switzerland. The two worlds, traditional and crypto-banking, are moving ever closer together, which is why it is essential to have well-trained staff in Swiss banking. I am particularly pleased that the course is now also being held online. At the HWZ we have had our first positive experiences with distance learning and have put this into practice.

The next courses:

Distance learning (online): 18 to 20 June
Classes (Zurich/Zug) in DE: 2 to 4 September
Lessons (Zurich/train) in English: 11 to 13 November
